9/11: Speeds Reported For World Trade Center Attack Aircraft Analyzed
For Immediate Release

(PilotsFor911Truth.org) - Much controversy has surrounded the speeds reported for the World Trade Center attack aircraft. However, none of the arguments for either side of the debate have been properly based on actual data, until now. Pilots For 9/11 Truth have recently analyzed data provided by the National Transportation Safety Board in terms of a "Radar Data Impact Speed Study" in which the NTSB concludes 510 knots and 430 knots for United 175 (South Tower) and American 11 (North Tower), respectively. A benchmark has been set by the October 1999 crash of Egypt Air 990, a 767 which exceeded it's maximum operating limits causing in-flight structural failure, of which data is available to compare to the WTC Attack Aircraft.

Egypt Air 990 (EA990) is a 767 which was reported to have entered a dive and accelerated to a peak speed of .99 Mach at 22,000 feet. Boeing sets maximum operating speeds for the 767 as 360 Knots and .86 Mach. The reason for two airspeed limitations is due to air density at lower vs. higher altitudes. This is a demonstration acts as a brief guide to the short landing performance of the Vixxen – this, by all means, should not be taken as a lesson, rather than a showcase of the performance and capabilities.

We highly recommended that you should fly with a certified flight instructor to practice any of the maneuvers and techniques shown in this video.

The Vixxen POH quote a stall speed, at the maximum (MTOW) of 27 knots IAS. This is substantially reduced when less then full weight is carried - In some cases, a stall speed of 24 knots can be seen on the airspeed indicator.

Knowing when the aircraft stall and what signs to look for in the cockpit is very important in order to get the shortest landing roll possible. As when it comes to stopping our VIxxen. The energy we need to dissipate is proportional to the aircraft mass (weight) times the square of its landing speed!!

Even when a normal landing is performed - the 32 Vixxen will land and stop in around 100m of the runway (which the aircraft POH quote for)

With a bit of practice, and assisted with the technique shown in this video, a short landing can be reduced to 50m or under.

The DA altitude today was calculated at 1,780ft, the OAT is 23c. The winds 11-14...

"While the first thing that strikes you when you hear the word “aerodynamics” is “lift”, it actually is about all the forces acting on a body moving in the air.

This relative motion between the airplane and the air causes a force — a structural load —on the airplane called “dynamic pressure”.

Technically, this force is sometimes called “Q” (like “M” in James Bond movies).

Dynamic pressure increases with density of the air, and increases as the square of the speed.

At sufficiently high air density (say, close to the ground), and sufficiently high speed, this force can rip the wings off an airplane.

Therefore certification authorities impose a safe speed limit. There are several values of this.

Piston engine airplanes are given a straightforward VNE: a single red-line limit of VNE (velocity never exceed).

For turboprops and jets, this speed limit is designated Vmo (velocity maximum operating).

VMO is primarily a structural limitation because increased indicated airspeed stresses the airframe, particularly when gusts are encountered.

FAA RELEASES THIRD CLASS MEDICAL REFORM FINAL RULE
REGULATIONS EFFECTIVE MAY 1

The FAA has released a final rule on third class medical reform, though it will be several months before pilots can fly under the new program that the agency has named BasicMed.

Teams of AOPA experts are examining the Jan. 10 announcement, which at first look appears to closely mirror the legislation signed into law on July 15, 2016. Pilots should note that BasicMed will not be effective until May 1, so they cannot fly under the rule until then.

"BasicMed is the best thing to happen to general aviation in decades," said AOPA President and CEO Mark Baker. "By putting medical decisions in the hands of pilots and their doctors, instead of the FAA, these reforms will improve safety while reducing burdensome and ineffective bureaucracy that has thwarted participation in general aviation."

During the announcement, FAA Administrator Michael Huerta said, “I believe BasicMed is a win for the general aviation community, and I’m happy that our FAA team has brought it...

Pilots For 9/11 Truth have recently analyzed data provided by the National Transportation Safety Board in terms of a "Radar Data Impact Speed Study" in which the NTSB concludes 510 knots and 430 knots for United 175 (South Tower) and American 11 (North Tower), respectively. A benchmark has been set by the October 1999 crash of Egypt Air 990, a 767 which exceeded it's maximum operating limits causing in-flight structural failure, of which data is available to compare to the WTC Attack Aircraft. Egypt Air 990 (EA990) is a 767 which was reported to have entered a dive and accelerated to a peak speed of .99 Mach at 22,000 feet. Boeing sets maximum operating speeds for the 767 as 360 Knots and .86 Mach. The reason for two airspeed limitations is due to air density at lower vs. higher altitudes. This is fairly deep discussion of diving limitations for the P-47 Thunderbolt. By the end of this video you should have an understanding of airspeed limitations and mach numbers and understand how they effect dive performance in WW2 aircraft.

The P-47 is the fastest diving propeller plane of the war. However the Spitfire actually has the highest mach number limit. Sadly for the Spitfire, it never did it much good. Most of it's work was at mid and lower altitudes where the German planes could out dive it.

The answer to the question in the video is mach .745. It's tricky. If you plot the 540mph speed on the chart you will get about .785. However that's because that's the mach number for 540 at standard temperature. At 10F, the speed of sound is 724. 540/724 is about .745.
